Leveraging our expertise, we support customers in the installation, modernization, repair, and maintenance of control systems, with a particular focus on gas engines and turbines used in CHP installations.
As a Field Service Engineer – CHP Specialist at TECS, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and modernizing Woodward control systems for CHP installations and gas engines. You will play a key role in helping clients optimize energy efficiency by supporting systems that generate both electricity and heat, commonly used in greenhouses, hospitals, swimming pools, oil rigs, and industrial applications.
You will handle maintenance and fault diagnosis on control panels, replace parts, and upgrade legacy systems with modern technology, working both independently and as part of a team at client sites.
- Installation and Commissioning: Install, commission, and replace control systems for gas engines and CHP units, ensuring seamless operation and integration with site infrastructure.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on CHP control panels and associated equipment, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- System Modernization: Upgrade and replace outdated control systems with modern Woodward solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and functionality.
- Customer Support: Act as a trusted advisor for clients, explaining system operations, providing status updates, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Be available for frequent travel across the Benelux, Italy, the UK, and occasionally other international locations to support client operations, including oil rigs and offshore platforms.
- Salary: €3,500 – €5,500 gross per month, depending on experience.
- An additional potential €2,000 monthly to cover overtime, travel expenses, and standby duties.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with gas engines or CHP systems is required, particularly with control systems.
- Willingness to obtain VCA-VOL certification and complete HUET training (Nogepa 0.5) for offshore work.
- Strong knowledge of control technologies, preferably Woodward systems.
- Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license (B) and willingness to travel extensively.
- Availability for standby duty every eight weeks for emergency service.
