Field Service Engineer – Specialization in Gas Engines

Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer at TECS, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and modernizing Woodward control systems applied to gas engines and generators. You will work closely with clients to ensure reliable and efficient operation of engines and systems.
Your primary focus will be on fuel regulation systems and generator control panels for gas engines, involving both technical troubleshooting and practical problem-solving to improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Commissioning: Install, commission, and replace control systems for gas engines and generators.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and conduct repairs on control panels and related equipment.
- System Modernization: Upgrade outdated control systems with modern Woodward solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Customer Support: Provide clients with technical advice, system operation guidance, and regular updates, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Travel: Be available for frequent travel within the Benelux and occasionally to other international locations, including offshore platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: €3,500 – €5,500 gross per month, depending on experience.
- Additional compensation of up to €2,000 per month for overtime, travel, and on-call duties.
- 27 vacation days + 13 additional leave (ATV) days.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field.
- Practical experience with gas engines and fuel regulation systems.
- Familiarity with generator control panels; knowledge of Woodward systems is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to obtain VCA-VOL certification and complete HUET training (for offshore work).
- Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license (B) and willingness to travel frequently.
